Selective laser melting, also known as 3D metal printing, is being increasingly adopted as the manufacturing method of choice for various types of surgical implants. They include mass-produced, patient-matched and custom-made implants.

Philip Oris, Medical expert from SLM Solutions, will introduce CMF implants produced in titanium and will address the technical developments of the selective laser melting technology that enable this new production technique for mass-customization.
